Qantas, BA, Emirates… they’re all so last year. No, this year its all about a different airline. This year it’s about Hello Kitty Air.

And this, is no joke!

Hello Kitty, along with Taiwan based airline, Eva Airlines, have teamed up to form 3 Airbus A330-300 aircrafts.

fur free?

I love Jason Wu. But I hate real fur. It saddens me that still after all the publicity and all the exposes on animal cruelty that people still don’t care. Faux fur can still be gorgeous people! Even more so cause animals weren’t skinned for it.

Fashion designers are such pioneers for the world let alone their industry and it’s people like them who need to lead this change. I hate that when someone says “I’m against real fur” or  “I’m a vegetarian” that they get labeled as some sort of freak who throws fake blood on fur-covered celebrities and shouts ‘murderer’.

But maybe you need people like that, people who are going to stand up and demand change even in the most outrageous of ways. And then there’s leather… but that’s a whole other story!

taste of sydney

Finally back home which means USA stock will be up for purchase very very soon. But before then, take a look at this:

If you’re a Sydneysider there is still time to head down to Centennial Park’s annual event ‘Taste of Sydney’. Open tonight – until late – you’ll have the opportunity to scour many of Sydney’s best watering holes and delicious eats all in the one place! Twenty-something restaurants offer an exclusive selection off their menus while one hundred popular food and drink companies allow you to sample and buy their goods. Dinner for me was sushi from the ‘Sake’ stall (an amazing restaurant in the Rocks) a Mojito from Bacardi and a Rekorderlig sipped in the beautiful Rekorderlig Cider Bar (see below). One stall definitely not to be missed was ‘The Sweetest Things’ cupcake stall which had both cookie monster and hamburger cupcakes (see below) – extraordinary to look at let alone taste!

A rather unfortunately timed ear-infection saw our time in L.A. extended by double. Little did I know it was the start of many dramas that were to unfold but thats another story. As foul as I felt on the inside, L.A. was undeniably a pretty special place. The palm-tree lined streets with the celebrity manisons (see last row for a photo of what was once Ozzy Osbourne’s house but now is Christina Aguilera’s), the tv and film sets (check out below Desperate Housewives’ Wisteria Lane and the town of The Grinch), beautiful beaches and a frenzy of fashion. We even got to watch a sit-com being filmed, which was free and included food – a pretty good deal for 5 hours of entertainment!

But now to the important stuff… the vintage. There were many stores and they were very big. I’m talking the length of whole blocks type of big and for anyone who’s been to L.A. they’ll know that their blocks don’t compare anything to our minute ones. Many racks were scoured and a diverse selection has been packed away ready to come home and be shown to you. Brights, velvet, hand-beaded, pleather and much more. I’m certainly very excited to show you all. And it won’t be long now!
